Long gone are the days when your children, (or your college buddies, for that matter) are grouchy, hungry, and throwing things at each other in the backseat while you navigate traffic. New Porsche models now have an exciting new customization option: The Rear Seat Entertainment System: perfect for long-term travel, rainy days when the views are sub-par, and for keeping in touch on the go with elaborate infotainment technology.
Two high-resolution 10.1-inch touchscreens are integrated behind the driver’s and passenger’s headrests to face the back seats. This option is available in the new four-door Porsche cars for sale (the Cayenne, Macan, and Panamera models).
The internet can be accessed via a wireless connection or by connecting to your smartphone’s WIFI hotspot. Apps, such as gaming, email, or social media apps, can be downloaded from the online store. One in particular allows you to use your smartphone as a remote control for each Rear Seat Entertainment System.
Each screen has a camera (in case you need to video chat). Included with each system are two Bluetooth wireless headphones for more privacy. Conversely, the system also boasts a WIFI Crosslink Streaming function so that all videos or audio can be used and displayed on both screens at the same time.
The new entertainment system includes two USB ports, an SD card slot, and an HDMI port so that you can use the gaming system or technology of your choosing while traveling. The Rear Seat Entertainment System Plus package also features an internal 32 GB flash drive so that you can save multimedia files rather than importing them each time you want to travel.
During your next visit to Braman Porsche, check out the Rear Entertainment System and you will wonder how you ever traveled without it.
